Umbrella Reads: Come to the Edge by Christina Haag

Welcome to our new literary series, Umbrella Reads.  A great book…another reason to stay in the shade.

I’m not guaranteeing my reads will be the latest releases – It takes me a while to get through a book, who has time to read these days?  – but I promise they will be great. It’s not that often I read something that I want to tell the world about.

After seeing the cover, do you even care what it’s about? Ha.

This one could easily follow 50 Shades of Grey on your reading list, if you know what I mean.  I read the hardcover last summer and couldn’t put it down.  I may just have to buy the above paperback too!

If you grew up along side JFK Jr., or have always been fascinated with Camelot or had the honor of being in his presence (read: the right job at the right time) or cried in front of CNN, all day, the day his plane went down – you will LOVE this book.

A fascinating peek into the lives of Manhattan’s elite teens in the 1980s, and the coming of age of one of America’s most famous. Come to the Edge, the New York Times Best Seller, is the story of John F. Kennedy, Jr., told by Christina Haag, his long time on-again-off-again girlfriend.  She paints a picture of a thrill-seeker, a romantic and man trying to live up to the expectations set for him.  I was left with a full heart and hoping for a sequel. In my opinion, the perfect summer read.

$10 on amazon.
