“Protect The Skin You’re In”

This month, Skin Cancer Awareness Month, Marc Jacobs reissued color versions of his popular “Protect The Skin You’re In” T-shirts.

First released in 2006, the celebrity nudes were the inspiration of MJ and business partner/ President of Marc Jacobs International, Robert Duffy.  Duffy is a melanoma survivor.  Since the campaigns launch, the tees have raised over $1MM for melanoma research at NYU’s Cancer Institute.

Of the 45 celebs who initially posed for Photographer Brian Bowen Smith, those reissued include Tattoo Artist Scott Campbell, Milla Jovovich, Victoria Beckham, Naomi Campbell, Kate Upton, Lake Bell (above) and Figure Skater Taylor Toth.

Four of the seven tees (plus a wacky South Park line) can be purchased for $35 at marcjacobs.com, with the other three (Beckham, Jovovich and Upton) only available at Marc Jacobs Collection and Marc by Marc Jacobs stores.  100% of proceeds go directly to NYU.

Could be collectors items as some are selling for a premium on ebay. Get ‘em while you can!
